Job Description - Communications & Media Assistant
Summary:
The Communications & Media Assistant plays a vital role in amplifying EMF’s impact by supporting the creation and dissemination of compelling, brand-aligned content. This position is responsible for gathering and curating stories, visuals, and updates from field activities to engage donors, partners, and the public. The assistant ensures consistent messaging across all platforms, supports the maintenance of digital communication channels, and contributes to the development of high-quality materials that reflect EMF’s mission and values. By bridging program teams with communication strategies, this role strengthens EMF’s visibility, credibility, and outreach.
Responsibilities:
Support the collection of human-interest stories, photos, and videos from field activities and programs
Assist in drafting engaging content for social media, newsletters, and program updates
Contribute to the development of communication materials including fliers, banners, info sheets, and reports
Maintain EMF’s social media platforms and monitor engagement metrics
Document events and field activities for internal reporting and external sharing
Ensure all communication materials adhere to EMF’s branding guidelines and donor visibility requirements
Collaborate with program teams to gather timely updates and content for communication products
