Job Description - Community Officer

Reports To: CEO / Managing Director

Location: Omole Phase 1, Ikeja, Lagos (Flexible / Hybrid Work Setup)

Employment Type: Full-Time (Work hours tied to live football schedules & community engagement)

Salary: ₦250,000 Net Monthly + Performance Bonus & Share Options

About the Role

Can you start a viral trend with a single tweet? Can you turn a casual app downloader into a die-hard super-fan? We are looking for a young, agile, and football-obsessed Community Officer who lives and breathes social media culture.

In this role, you won't just post content—you will build a thriving, noisy, and deeply engaged football community. You’ll be the voice of the brand, bringing street-smart football banter ("football street-creds"), running live matchday banter, organizing contests, and keeping community engagement at a fever pitch across X, Instagram, and TikTok.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Execution: Plan, manage, and execute a dynamic social media content calendar across X (Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok.

  • Football Content & Viral Engagement: Create unique, original football-related content, hot takes, trivia, and banter that test people's football knowledge and trigger massive audience participation.

  • Live Matchday & Community Sessions: Host and coordinate real-time engagement during matches, live sessions, fan contests, trivia challenges, and reward giveaways.

  • Community & Audience Management: Act as the primary point of contact for our online community—responding to comments, handling user inquiries, gathering feedback, and turning casual followers into active app users.

  • Growth & Trendjacking: Jump on breaking football news, local Nigerian digital trends, and viral pop-culture moments in real time to drive user acquisition and app downloads.

Requirements

  • Education: HND or Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in any relevant field.

  • Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in Social Media Management, Content Creation, or Community Building.

  • Football Expertise: You must deeply understand football—not just European leagues, but local banter, street football culture, and how Nigerian fans engage online.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Exceptional copywriting skills with a distinct, engaging voice.

    • Practical, hands-on proficiency in Canva (graphic design) and CapCut (short-form video editing).

  • Platform Mastery: Deep understanding of social media algorithms, viral growth tactics, and digital engagement strategies across X, IG, and TikTok

Personal Attributes

  • Street-Smart & Relatable: You know how to talk football the way real fans do on the streets and in local viewing centers.

  • Flexible & Adaptable: Comfortable working around live football schedules (weekends/evenings) based on matchday fixtures.

  • Proactive Self-Starter: High energy, creative, and capable of generating fresh ideas without waiting to be micromanaged.

Benefits

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: ₦250,000 net monthly.

  • Work Arrangement: Flexible work mode based on deliverables and match schedules.

  • Additional Incentives:

    • End-of-year performance bonus.

    • Long-term Equity/Share Options after proven tenure.
