About The Opportunity

  • This role offers an excellent growth opportunity for an experienced Sales Representative - Trucking and Freight Forwarding. The job holder will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to meet sales targets. We are looking for a Sales Professional who will understand customer needs and requirements and recommend suitable logistics solution. He/she will report directly to the Head of Commercial; MEDLOG Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and Sell trucking and freight forwarding services to customers by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects.
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing and sales plans to attract new clients while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Manage key customer relationships, ensuring exceptional service and addressing customer issues with swift resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to craft compelling promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed sales forecasting reports and track sales outcomes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Collaborate with other sales team members and management to develop sales strategies and improve sales performance.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and competitors' activities.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and sales skills through training and self-study
  • Attend trade shows, industry events to represent the company and promote services.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Leadership qualities with the ability to drive both strategy and execution.
  • Analytical skills to interpret market data and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively negotiating and building lasting relationships.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets in a logistics or freight forwarding environment.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and requirements and recommend suitable logistics solutions.
  • Ability to meet sales targets and achieve sales goals.
  • Customer service skills
  • Mandatory experience in sales in logistics and has an in-depth knowledge of logistic sales and frieght forwarding.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members and management.
  • Willingness to travel and attend industry events

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within the logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) / sales force PowerBI software is an added advantage.
