We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Factory Accountant

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Type: Full-Time

• Monitor and align the Bill of Material with the system, preventing discrepancies and ensuring accurate recording of produced finished goods.
• Oversee the real-time production process, identifying and addressing any unorganized production issues and align with Finance, Warehouse and Production sections.
• Investigate and mitigate root causes of variances in waste from both Production floor and SAP floor, guided by Finance.
• Reduce monthly variances, constantly experienced during monthly stocktaking on the production floor.
• Align waste records from SAP with actual waste on the production floor.
• Track and analyze production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, thereby contributing to better cost management.
• The Factory Accountant would contribute to increased efficiency and cost savings within our manufacturing operations.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of production costs, enabling us to identify cost drivers, control expenses, and optimize resource utilization.
•  Report accurate work-in-progress and finished goods, aiding in precise and accurate information on our financial statements.
• Advise the production team on the appropriate quantity of materials needed for production to minimize wastages and losses, in accordance with the BoM.
• Bring congruence to production versus SAP and inventory records.
• Implement cost identification, allocation, and reduction strategies as directed by Finance.

• BSc/HND Accounting or Business Related

• 5 years working experience in Manufacturing; with at least 3 years of which should be as production accountant or cost accountant.

• Good knowledge of ERP SAP is an advantage.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address production variances and discrepancies effectively.
