Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Fiber Engineer Supervisor to oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of fiber optic networks with dedication and skill.
The candidate must have experience in fiber optics technology, telecommunications engineering, and team management.
Lead a team responsible for fiber optic network design, installation, and maintenance.
Develop project plans and schedules for fiber optic network installations, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints.
Ability to oversee material and equipment procurement for fiber optic projects.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal routes and placement for fiber optic cables.
Ensure project execution adheres to quality standards through coordination with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
Provide technical guidance and support, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions as needed for the team.
Ensuring compliance with industry and state government regulations and safety standards in all fiber optic network activities.
The ability to keep precise documentation of project advancement, which includes drawings, reports, and inventory records, is crucial.
It is necessary to stay up-to-date with advancements in fiber optics technology and recommend enhancements to improve network performance and efficiency.

Requirements
A Second Class Upper Division (2:1) Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
With at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, the candidate should have proven knowledge of fiber optic network design, installation, and maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of different fiber optic cable types, connectors, splicing techniques, and testing procedures.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members effectively.
Excellent project management skills are essential, including efficient task prioritization and resource allocation.
Proficiency in relevant software tools for network planning and design (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS).
Familiarity with industry standards, expertise in resolving community issues, and knowledge of regulations governing fiber optic network deployment.
