Role Overview

We are looking to hire a skilled and detail-oriented Field Inspection Engineer to support our growing technical operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the on-site installation, configuration, inspection, and troubleshooting of network equipment and services.

This role requires someone with solid technical expertise, strong customer-facing communication skills, and a proactive attitude. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in the ISP or telecom industry and be capable of representing the company with professionalism while working in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Configuration

• Perform on-site installations and configuration of internet services (routers, modems, switches, etc.).
  
  

• Ensure proper cabling, placement, and alignment of equipment according to technical standards.
  
  

• Conduct service testing to verify speed, connectivity, and system reliability.
  
  

• Educate clients on system usage and basic maintenance of installed devices.
  
  

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to connectivity, configuration, or hardware failure.
  
  

• Respond to service requests and perform timely on-site interventions.
  
  

• Work closely with internal teams (Network Operations, Technical Support) for escalated issues.
  
  

• Maintain detailed records of field activities, diagnostics, and customer interactions.
  
  

Customer Engagement

• Provide a professional and courteous experience during client visits.
  
  

• Translate technical details into simple terms for non-technical customers.
  
  

• Suggest technical improvements or upgrades based on customer needs.
  
  

• Collaborate with sales or account teams for customer feedback and service optimization.
  
  

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all installations meet internal quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
  
  

• Conduct post-installation audits to validate service delivery.
  
  

• Stay informed on industry developments, tools, and best practices.
  
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma; technical certifications or OND/HND/BSc in related fields (Electrical Engineering, Computer Networking, etc.) is a strong advantage.
  
  

• 2-4 years hands-on experience in a telecommunications, ISP, or related technical field.
  
  

• Strong understanding of networking equipment and protocols.
  
  

• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to use diagnostic tools effectively.
  
  

• Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
  
  

• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  
  

• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage field assignments.
  
  

• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel for field assignments.
  
  

• Physically capable of handling and installing equipment.
