The client is seeking to hire Fire Officers who will be responsible for implementing fire prevention measures, responding to fire and emergency incidents, and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.
The role involves safeguarding lives, property, and the environment through proactive inspection, emergency response, and safety education.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily and routine fire safety checks within the retail premises.
Identify and report potential fire hazards and safety risks.
Ensure fire extinguishers, alarms, and emergency exits are functional and accessible.
Enforce fire safety policies and procedures within the store.
Respond immediately to fire incidents or emergencies and coordinate evacuation procedures.
Conduct regular fire drills and safety awareness training for staff.
Monitor electrical equipment and store layouts for compliance with safety standards.
Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and safety reports.
Liaise with emergency services and store management during incidents.
Ensure customers and staff adhere to safety guidelines within the store.
Requirements
Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Fire Science, Safety Management, or related field.
1 â 4 years of relevant experience in fire safety, HSE, security, or emergency response.
Certification in Fire Safety or Emergency Response (preferred).
Physical fitness and ability to work in high-risk environments.
Strong knowledge of fire codes, safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
Ability to respond quickly and remain calm under pressure.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Previous experience in fire service, safety, or emergency response is an advantage.
