Job Description - Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment

to support warehouse and production activities within the Company’s facility. The role ensures

safe loading, offloading, stacking, movement, and arrangement of materials while maintaining

compliance with operational procedures, quality requirements, and EHS standards. The Forklift

Operator plays a vital role in supporting smooth material flow, preventing damages, and

maintaining accurate inventory movement records.

The position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements

Experience & Education

1. Minimum of secondary school education (SSCE) or equivalent.

2. Minimum 3 years’ experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing

environment.

3. Ability to operate different types of forklifts (e.g., diesel, electric, counterbalance) is an

advantage.

4. Basic understanding of stock movement, palletizing, and warehouse operations.

5. Relevant Certifications:

Nigerian Primary (Mandatory):
Valid Forklift Operator Certification issued by a recognized Nigerian training
provider
▪ Basic HSE certification (ISPON or equivalent)
o International (Added Advantage):
▪ OSHA forklift training certification
▪ Equipment-specific operator training
