Graduate civil engineers assist senior engineers in designing, planning, and managing construction projects while developing their technical and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Calculation: Assist in preparing structural, hydraulic, or geotechnical calculations, engineering drawings, and technical specifications using CAD and BIM software.
Site Supervision & Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure work complies with design plans and safety standards, and log daily site reports.
Project Documentation: Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, bill of quantities (BOQ), and project schedules under the supervision of senior engineers.
Quality Assurance & Safety: Perform quality control checks on materials and craftsmanship, while ensuring full adherence to occupational health and safety (HSE) regulations.
Data Analysis & Testing: Analyze soil reports, surveying data, and material testing results (e.g., concrete slump and compression tests) to support design accuracy.
Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with contractors, sub-contractors, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
Regulatory Compliance: Help ensure project activities align with local building codes, environmental regulations, and town planning guidelines.
