We
are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Graphic Designer & Print
Operator Assistant to join our team. Reporting directly to the Project
Lead (Business Manager), this role bridges creative graphic design and
hands-on print production. You will be responsible for creating eye-catching
external marketing materials, internal corporate design assets, and product
packaging labels, while directly operating and maintaining our specialized
digital, ID card, and large-format printing equipment.
â Design engageable internal corporate communications media,
including employee birthday banners/graphics, work anniversary spotlights,
welcome flyers, and recognition posts.
â Create visual assets for internal memos, executive
announcements, departmental notices, and corporate event signage as business
needs arise.
â Design and standardize official staff identity cards according
to corporate brand guidelines.
â Design digital and print-ready marketing collateral, including
promotional flyers, banners, social media graphics, and company presentation templates.
â Design functional product packaging labels, goods bagging
labels, stickers, and tags tailored to specified dimensions and packaging
surfaces.
â Review external or internal design files for prepress accuracy
(ensuring correct color profiles like CMYK, bleeds, margins, resolution, and
vector formatting).
â Set up, calibrate, and operate specialized print equipment,
including:
â Large-Format Printers & Plotters (vinyl, banners,
posters, signage).
â ID Card Printers (PVC printing, thermal encoding/ribbon handling).
â Commercial Digital Printers & Packaging/Label Printers.
â Select appropriate print media, substrates, lamination films,
and inks according to project specifications.
â Perform post-print finishing tasks, such as precise cutting,
weeding, laminating, binding, and eyeletting.
â Inspect print jobs for color accuracy, alignment, registration,
and material defects prior to final sign-off and distribution.
â Perform routine daily cleanings, nozzle checks, printhead
alignments, and minor technical troubleshooting on all print machinery.
â Organize and maintain digital design file repositories, asset
libraries, and reusable templates.
â Education/Experience: Minimum of a Diploma or OND/HND in Graphic Design, Fine Arts,
Mass Communication, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on industry
experience).
â Software Proficiency:
â CorelDRAW (Advanced/Expert).
â Adobe Photoshop (Advanced/Expert).
â Adobe Illustrator (Strong vector design capability).
â Additional Assets: Adobe InDesign, Canva, or specialized RIP software (e.g.,
Roland VersaWorks, Wasatch, FlexiSign).
â Technical Knowledge:
â Solid understanding of print prepress, color management (CMYK
vs. RGB), and file output standards (PDF, EPS, TIFF, AI, CDR).
â Hands-on experience with large-format plotters/printers and
thermal PVC ID card printers.
â Personal Attributes:
â Strong attention to visual detail, typography, and brand
consistency.
â Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under tight
operational deadlines.
â Physical capability to handle heavy print media rolls and
operate print finishing machinery safely.
