Head of Department

• Develop and implement the department's strategic plan, aligned with the organization's overall strategy.
  
• Provide vision, direction, and leadership to the department.
  

• Manage and develop a high-performing team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  

• Oversee the department's budget, ensuring effective financial management and resource allocation.
  
• Make strategic financial decisions to drive departmental growth and excellence.
  

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  
• Identify and mitigate operational risks.
  

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, customers, and partners.
  
• ​Communicate departmental goals, objectives, and achievements to stakeholders.
  

Requirements

• Candidate MUST have a minimum of 8-10 years in the financial industry, specifically as it relates to the loan space. 
  
• Sound knowledge and understanding of CBN regulatory laws.
  
• Previous expertise in heading a department, driving performance, product creation and meeting sales targets.
  
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and client relationship skills
  
• A degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration from a reputable institution.
