Job Summary: The Company is seeking to hire a commercially driven logistics professional to build and lead its e\-commerce logistics business, supported by integrated trucking and inland transportation services. This is a greenfield leadership role with full responsibility for revenue growth, sales strategy, trade lanes, partnerships (both local and international), trucking integration, and operational oversight.
The ideal candidate must understand how to sell freight, structure competitive pricing, manage international trade lanes, and has hands\-on operational knowledge spanning customs clearing, shipment execution, and inland haulage/trucking operations. He/she will take full ownership of business development, sales, pricing, trade lanes, partnerships, trucking coordination, and operational performance for the companyâs ecommerce logistics business.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Sales:
Lead business development across cross\-border e\-commerce, express, air & sea freight, and inland trucking services.
Structure and negotiate rates, quotations, and bundled logistics solutions (freight + customs + trucking).
Develop and manage key trade lanes (Asia, Europe, USA, intra\-Africa â Nigeria).
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline with clear revenue and margin targets.
Partnerships & Market Expansion:
Develop overseas agent, courier, and consolidation partnerships.
Engage with e\-commerce sellers, aggregators, marketplaces, and fulfillment providers.
Establish and manage local trucking partnerships or fleets for port\-to\-warehouse and last\-mile delivery.
Identify scalable opportunities such as consolidation, DDP/DDU, fulfillment support, and end\-to\-end delivery solutions.
Operations Oversight:
Provide strategic oversight of freight forwarding, customs clearance, and trucking operations.
Coordinate port haulage, last\-mile delivery, and inland transportation to support ecommerce shipments.
Ensure compliance with NCS, port authorities, trucking regulations, and aviation/maritime standards.
Manage service delivery, turnaround times, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
B.Sc degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management or related field.
8+ yearsâ experience in freight forwarding, logistics, e\-commerce logistics, or integrated logistics operations.
Strong commercial, sales, and pricing leadership background.
Solid working knowledge of:
Freight pricing and margin management
International trade lanes and carrier negotiations
Cross\-border e\-commerce logistics
Trucking, port haulage, and inland transportation coordination.
Customs clearing and documentation.
Proven ability to build and scale a logistics business, not just manage day\-to\-day operations.
Existing local and international industry network (freight, trucking, courier) is a strong advantage.
Entrepreneurial mindset with hands\-on execution capability.
