The Head of People Relations & Admin will play a pivotal role in supporting the companyâs mission by cultivating an engaged, high-performing workforce and ensuring efficient administrative operations. The Head of People Relations & Admin will not only oversee HR and administrative functions but will also be instrumental in driving organizational culture, talent development, and staff well-being. By managing key aspects such as recruitment, staff retention, training, and compliance, this role ensures that employees are empowered to deliver on our core mission. Key Responsibilities
â Human Resources Strategy & Development:
o Design and implement HR strategies that align with the organizationâs goals.
o Develop policies, procedures, and programs to enhance workforce effectiveness.
o Conduct regular reviews of HR practices and recommend improvements.
â Talent Management
o Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes to attract top talent.
o Develop and manage performance management systems and employee development plans.
o Lead initiatives for training, succession planning, and workforce development.
â Training and Development:
o Oversee performance management, employee development, and training initiatives to build a
high-performing workforce.
â Recruitment:
o Establish and manage recruitment processes to attract and retain top talent.
â Employee Relations:
o Foster a positive work environment through open communication and inclusion.
o Address employee concerns and grievances, ensuring fair resolution.
o Provide coaching and training to managers on effective team management.
â Compensation and Benefits:
o Manage salary structures, pay policies, and performance-based bonuses.
o Lead market research to ensure competitive compensation practices to support employee
satisfaction and retention.
o Oversee employee benefits and recommend enhancements to improve retention
â Compliance and Risk Management:
o Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and international best practices.
o Mitigate risks by adhering to HR policies and legal requirements.
o Prepare reports and information for regulatory compliance.
â Organizational Development:
o Drive initiatives to strengthen organizational culture and employee satisfaction.
o Manage communication channels such as surveys, newsletters, and focus groups within the
company.
o Lead change management and organizational design efforts.
â Administrative Management:
o Oversee overall office operations, vendor agreements, and administrative budgets.
o Support resource allocation and ensure efficient office management.
Requirements
Qualifications
â Bachelorâs degree in human resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. Masterâs degree is strongly recommended.
â Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPM, CIPD, PHRi, SHRM) â Mandatory.
â Minimum 10 yearsâ experience in core HR function and the last 5 years in a leadership role.
â Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office tools.
â Experience in a diversified conglomerate or large corporate environment is desirable.
â Practical experience in developing and implementing strategies for performance, motivation, and cultural change across diverse teams.
â Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and international HR practices.
â Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR policies, processes, and
systems.
