Our client is seeking a passionate, organized, and experienced Head of School to lead the operations of a reputable Crèche and Nursery School in Awoyaya. The ideal candidate will oversee school administration, manage staff, maintain strong relationships with parents, and ensure a nurturing learning environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
1. Relationship Management & Client Retention
- Interface with prospective parents and follow up to drive enrollment, retention, and referrals.
- Engage actively with the schoolâs parent community platform to coordinate and communicate school activities such as PTA meetings, fruit days, show & tell events, mid-term holidays, vaccinations, Christmas parties, family fun days, and graduation ceremonies.
- Handle complaints or concerns from parents and staff with professionalism, empathy, and maturity.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including Lagos State inspectors, marketers, vendors, and suppliers.
2. Staff Management
- Source and conduct preliminary interviews for new staff for management review.
- Manage the full recruitment process for school staff.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and internal engagement sessions.
- Ensure proper onboarding and induction of new employees, including communication of school policies, dress codes, and core values.
- Work with the Director to review and manage staff payroll.
- Supervise staff scheduling including bus runs, evening shifts for nannies, smiley duties, and prayer duties.
- Observe teaching methods and document staff performance for development and training.
- Oversee staff welfare and ensure a positive work environment.
3. Student Administration
- Coordinate and document the registration and onboarding process for pupils and parents.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of each pupilâs termly bill and ensure copies are properly filed.
