To develop and implement GSk’s supply chain strategy and operations to ensure an uninterrupted flow of required products, materials and services in line with contractual requirements and GSK standards.

University degree. An MBA will be of advantage.

Professional qualification in purchasing and supply.

Minimum of 8-10 years FMCG working experience and at least 3 years line management experience.

Strong management, motivational and team building skills an experience to effectively manage coach and mentor a brand team.

Good understanding of the complex economic and socio political environment in Nigeria to successfully coordinate and facilitate strategies within these constraints.

Sound communication, negotiation, persuasion and organizational skills required, supplemented by strong general business knowledge.

Buying competitively (by keeping abreast of the forces of supply and demand that regulate prices and availability of materials) and wisely (involves constant search for better values that yield the best combination of price, quality and service)

Developing reliable alternative sources of supply materials and services.

Development of proper and streamline systems and procedures relating to the purchasing function to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and at the lowest reasonable operating cost.

Co-ordination with other functions that relate with the procurement and supplies department such as the warehouse, supply department such as the warehouse, supply, production or packaging specification.

Developments of strategies for maintaining the company’s competitive position by controlling costs relating to materials and imported finished pharmaceuticals and thereby maximizing profit.

Development of purchasing forecast, production and delivery schedules of imported products and materials with a view of striking a balance between availability and holding cost.

The candidate must be very good in Graphic Design and Animation.
