Role Summary: Driving Technology Portfolio Development & Performance
As the Head of Technology Portfolio Development, you will be the architect of our Technological development future. You will define, develop, and execute a holistic technological strategy that seamlessly integrates IT, operational technology (OT), and production performance systems.
Your mastery-level understanding of both technologies and oil & gas operations, combined with exceptional leadership and performance management capabilities, will be critical. - Champion a comprehensive technological transformation vision, aligning IT, OT, and production systems with business objectives.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy (governance, quality, security, accessibility).
- Act as the organizational lead for Data Science, driving data strategies, insights, and predictive models.
- Lead advanced analytics capabilities (BI, predictive modeling, ML) to support data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure effective utilization of data analytics to optimize production, reservoir management, and drilling efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, or related); master’s degree (MBA or related) strongly preferred.
- 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology and/or technological transformation, with 15+ years in senior leadership roles demonstrating a proven track record of driving large-scale technological transformation and achieving measurable business outcomes.
- NYSC discharge certificate
- Deep and extensive experience (15+ years) within the Oil & Gas industry, with a comprehensive understanding of upstream, midstream, and operations (well construction, drilling, production, engineering, intervention processes).
- Proven success in leading technological transformation efforts that significantly improved operational efficiency, production performance, and profitability in O&G.
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex technology projects with significant budgetary oversight and cross-functional dependencies.
- Experience leading diverse technology teams across different geographies and business units.
Technical Acumen
- Expert-level understanding of O&G-relevant technological technologies: IoT, cloud computing (Azure, AWS, GCP), AI/ML, big data analytics, cybersecurity, and industrial control systems (ICS/OT).
- Mastery of agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and other project/program management frameworks for complex technological solutions.
