Job Title: HSE / Safety Officer (Road Construction - Civil Engineering)

Project: Major Road Construction Project

Location: Oyo / Kwara Axis (Onsite Residential)

Duration: 2 Years (Contract with performance-based retention)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Rotation cycles to be discussed)

Reporting Line: Respective Team Leads / Project Manager

Remuneration: Flexible / Negotiable (Based on experience from top-tier firm

Our client is a premier infrastructure development firm specializing in large-scale civil engineering and road construction services across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety & Traffic Control: Implement HSE policies, conduct risk assessments, and manage complex road traffic diversions to ensure commuter and pedestrian safety.
  




• On-Site Compliance: Enforce strict PPE compliance, deliver safety inductions/toolbox talks, and maintain environmental protection standards.
  




• Incident & Records Management: Investigate site incidents, prepare detailed reports, and maintain meticulous compliance documentation.
  

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Industry Background: Must have a proven career background working with Top-Tier construction companies in Nigeria.
  




• Certifications: Valid NEBOSH or ISPON certification, plus a degree/diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
  




• Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated construction safety experience, with specific expertise in road traffic management and emergency response/first aid.
  




• Profile: Highly energetic and physically fit for constant site movement.
  




• Availability: Ready to relocate and resume on-site within the next 4–6 weeks.
