Job Description - Inventory Officer - NOK

  • Prepare purchase orders
  • Receive, store and issue inventories
  • Manage stock levels and give out the supplies from the stock
  • Work with the team to prepare and maintain the inventory/stock records
  • Carry out quality and quantity checks on inventory received
  • Notify team of new inventory received
  • Get rid of the surplus or obsolete stock using FIFO and LIFO procedures
  • Check that supply invoices and purchase orders tally both in price and
  • quantity
  • Prepare reports on adjustments done on inventories that may be damaged, spoilt, etc.
  • Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
  • Find-out sources of supply and obtain quotes from the suppliers
  • Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
  • Maintain records of receipts as well as issuance of items that are going out of the storeroom to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Reconcile physical stock with the stock in the system or inventory log
  • Oversee that the arrangement of stock has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system for easy retrieval when needed
  • Responsible for overall maintenance of the storerooms
  • Always ensure compliance of PH and safety regulations and guidelines
  • Supervise the offloading process and arrangement of merchandise, materials, and other consignment so that it can be easily assessed
  • Report to the F&B Officer on stock levels, issues, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge of inventory management and storage methods●
  • Sound knowledge of the inventory management software (ERP) and
  • inventory tracking tools (barcode readers, scanners, etc.)
  • Ability to track inventory and generate reports.
  • Familiaritywith various software programs necessary for day-to-day
  • operations,suchasMicrosoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
  • etc.

SOFT SKILLS

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • High level of professionalism
  • Good initiative, time, and stress management skills
  • Good interpersonal communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for details
  • Good problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently without close monitoring and supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or other relevant
  • qualification
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience as an Inventory Officer.
