Reports to: Investor Relations & Corporate Development Manager
Job Purpose
The Investor Relations Analyst (IRA) is responsible for executing the company’s investor relations operating plan, delivering accurate, timely, and compelling communication to the investment community. The role focuses on preparing investor-facing materials, conducting investor-specific analysis, and managing the logistics and data required for effective shareholder and analyst engagement. In addition, the IRA will support the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into investor communications and analysis, ensuring alignment with global norms and investor expectations.
Working under the guidance of the Investor Relations & Corporate Development Manager, the IRA maintains robust investor databases, tracks market sentiment, and supports investor events and communications. This role is execution-oriented and complements the Corporate Development Officer’s strategic oversight by providing the detailed analysis, reporting, and logistical coordination necessary for high-quality IR delivery.

Execution of approved Investor Relations plans and initiatives
Preparation and maintenance of investor communication materials
Delivery of market and shareholder analysis for investor purposes
Management of investor databases and the IR section of the company website
Coordination of investor events and meetings logistics
Monitoring and summarising peer news, analyst coverage, and shareholder register movements
Support the Investor Relations Manager in monitoring, analysing, and communicating ESG performance and ratings to the investment community
Job Specification & Core Competencies
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
Strong understanding of financial statements and capital markets
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in investor relations, capital markets, or financial analysis role
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail
Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

Investor Engagement Execution
Prepare investor-facing materials for financial results announcements (press releases, presentations, fact sheets, Q&A documents, company profile)
Maintain and update the IR website with accurate, timely information
Coordinate logistics for investor roadshows, conferences, and meetings.
Draft responses to investor queries in consultation with the IRM.
Market & Shareholder Analysis
Collect and analyse investor and analyst feedback, shareholder register movements, and market sentiment.
Conduct investor-specific competitor analysis and benchmarking.
Monitor peer company news and analyst reports, providing weekly summaries to the IRM.
Monitor ESG-related analyst reports, controversies, and ratings (e.g., ISS ESG, MSCI, Sustainalytics) and prepare briefings for management.
Analyse peer ESG disclosures and benchmarks to identify gaps in Oando’s reporting from an investor perspective
Database & Performance Tracking
Maintain an accurate and complete investor database and mailing list.
Track and report on IR activity metrics (e.g., number of meetings, coverage changes, sentiment trends).
Content & Communication Support
Collaborate with Corporate Communications to ensure consistent and compliant investor messaging.
Support preparation of scripts, speeches, and talking points for investor events.
Incorporate ESG data and narratives into investor materials, presentations, and disclosures.
Collaborate with the Sustainability team to ensure alignment between technical ESG disclosures and investor-facing communication.
