About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading provider of hygiene and industrial cleaning solutions across West Africa, with a growing footprint in the institutional and commercial laundry sector. They are seeking a skilled and driven Laundry Solutions Business Development Specialist -  Hygiene to join their team in Lagos, Nigeria.

This dual-role position combines technical expertise and a commercial focus. It is ideal for candidates who understand laundry systems and can consult, recommend solutions, and drive B2B sales across various customer segments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the commercial and industrial laundry segment.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing laundry systems and recommend product-based solutions.
• Provide technical advice on fabric care, machine compatibility, and chemical usage.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a focus on key account retention and expansion.
• Support customers through product trials, troubleshooting, and ongoing consultation.
• Monitor customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends to inform strategy.
• Coordinate internally with supply chain and technical teams to ensure service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare reports, track sales performance, and contribute to budget planning and forecasting.
• Participate in industry events, technical workshops, and product demos to promote brand visibility.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• B.Sc./B.Tech in Textile Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering. (PG qualification preferred but not mandatory.)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in laundry operations or fabric care solutions.
• Sound technical knowledge of laundry processes, detergent chemistry, and textile care.
• Understanding of commercial washing machines and industrial laundry systems is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; English fluency required.
• Working knowledge of French is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Self-motivated, solutions-driven, and capable of working independently.
• Comfortable with extensive travel and flexible regional assignments.
