Job Description - Lead, Business Development


Responsibilities:



  • Develop and manage retail banking products and services tailored to target markets.

  • Create and execute strategic plans to increase customer acquisition and retention.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage retail sales teams to achieve business targets.

  • Design and implement marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and advertising initiatives.

  • Oversee customer relationship management and feedback processes.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships and business collaborations to boost growth.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and business opportunities.

  • Develop pricing strategies, channel development, and customer segmentation plans.

  • Monitor and evaluate campaign effectiveness and report on key performance metrics.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to marketing and product offerings.

  • Collaborate with product, operations, and finance teams to align business development efforts.

  • Champion digital banking growth and adoption through marketing and strategic planning.

  • Drive strategies to ensure cost control while maximizing revenue potential.

  • Represent the bank at external forums, exhibitions, and networking events.


Requirements:



  • Minimum of a first degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in business development or marketing in the financial services sector (microfinance banking preferred).

  • Proven track record in sales, marketing strategy, product development, and team leadership.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in developing and managing business development frameworks and KPIs.

  • Certifications in marketing, sales, or banking will be an added advantage.

  • CIBN Certified
