Manager, Business Development, FTTx Operations. Fixed Broadband Division

The Manager, Business Development will play a pivotal role in MTN Nigeria's Fixed Broadband division, specifically within the FTTx Operations unit. Their primary focus is to drive value creation and maximize the potential of FTTx assets by building capabilities in demand planning, market acquisition, and network readiness. This role is crucial in adapting to the evolving digital economy and consumer behaviors, aiming to increase take-up rates, ARPU, and asset monetization. The successful candidate will lead a team, coordinate stakeholders, and optimize processes to accelerate homes passed, enable asset monetization, enhance customer experience and overall business performance.

• Maximizing the value of FTTx assets and ensuring optimal utilization.
• Leading demand planning initiatives across various market segments to identify and capture new business opportunities.
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure network readiness, commercial enablement and alignment with business goals.
• Optimizing operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.
• Enhancing the overall customer experience by identifying serviceability pain points and implementing improvements.
• Developing and mentoring the team to ensure their growth and alignment with the company's vision and values.
• Staying updated with industry trends and best practices, especially in optical network technologies and broadband solution sales.
• Conducting GIS spatial analysis and utilizing data management and analytics tools to make informed business decisions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer journey and effective problem-solving.
• Representing the company at industry events and conferences, building relationships, and staying connected with the latest advancements.

• A first degree in Engineering, Sciences, Telecommunications, or IT is mandatory, with a preference for candidates with 6-13 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of optical access networks, broadband solution sales, and project management is essential.
• Proficiency in GIS spatial analysis, data management, and analytics is highly advantageous.
• Certifications such as CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) or PMP (Project Management Professional) are desirable.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, pitch FibreX value propositions and collaborate effectively.
