Manager Operations

To handle and report to Director Operations on all aspects of Operations function, while maintaining a high level of service to customers, measuring and monitoring vendor and staff performance and controlling overall operational costs. Demonstrates customer focus, individual development, efficiency, collaboration, and recommends/implements process improvements. Upholds and ensures that all Hapag-Lloyd policies and procedures are followed and maintained.

•  Deliver top performance within Hapag-Lloyd’d organizational structure and process, as it pertains to Port Operations, Equipment, Transport Dispatch and Maintenance & Repair functions
•    Monthly reporting follow up for all Countries in the area
•    Longstanding follow-up - Focus on Empties, FIFO
•    Monthly Cost report analysis . Determine focus areas and drivers to reduce CpT and CpB
•    Support for Day-to-Day operations at the Country level. Maintain communication with local managers, providing, and disseminating updated information regarding Hapag-Lloyd policies and procedures.
•    Manage and appropriately escalate high-level concerns
•    Support for Inland ops activities across the area. Position for Inland growth 
•    Maintain working knowledge of all governmental rules and regulations
•    Vendor Performance management - Terminals and depots. Collaborate with Procurement & Berth planners
•    Work closely with other Area Directors on process improvement and communication flow, as requested by Director Operations
•    Any other duties as may be assigned by Director Operations from time to time
