Our client is a financial technology firm building a lending platform. They are san experienced Marketing Manager who understands the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) market and can develop strategies that connect asset-financing solutions with FMCG businesses, distributors,

retailers, and consumers.

Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Marketing Manager to lead marketing initiatives for our asset-financing business.

The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the FMCG industry, including consumer behavior, distribution networks, retail channels, trade marketing, brand activation, and customer acquisition.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that position our client's asset-financing solutions as practical financing options for businesses and individuals within the FMCG ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies targeting the FMCG sector and its distribution ecosystem.

Identify FMCG market segments, customer needs, business opportunities, and financing requirements.

Develop campaigns that promote our client's asset-financing products to FMCG businesses, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and other relevant market participants.

Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer research within the FMCG industry.

Develop and execute trade marketing, brand activation, field marketing, and customer acquisition campaigns.

Build relationships with FMCG companies, distributors, retailers, trade associations, and strategic industry partners.

Develop marketing materials, campaigns, and messaging tailored to FMCG audiences.

Lead digital marketing initiatives, including social media, content marketing, email marketing, paid advertising, and lead-generation campaigns.

Work closely with the Sales, Product, Credit, and Operations teams to convert marketing opportunities into qualified financing leads.

Monitor campaign performance, customer acquisition costs, conversion rates, and overall marketing ROI.

Identify new channels and partnerships for customer acquisition within the FMCG market.

Organize industry events, activations, trade shows, and partnership initiatives.

Build and manage a marketing team as the business expands.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of professional marketing experience within the FMCG industry is required.

Proven experience working in the FMCG market in Northern Nigeria is required.

Demonstrated experience developing and executing FMCG marketing, trade marketing, brand activation, or consumer marketing campaigns.

Strong understanding of FMCG distribution channels, retail markets, consumer behavior, and go-to-market strategies.

Experience in customer acquisition, lead generation, and campaign management.

Strong digital marketing knowledge, including social media, content marketing, paid advertising, and analytics.

Experience working with distributors, retailers, wholesalers, or FMCG brands is highly desirable.

Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate market insights into revenue-generating marketing strategies.

Excellent communication, negotiation, networking, and relationship-management skills.

Experience in financial services, fintech, lending, or asset financing is an advantage but not mandatory.
