Our Client




Our client, a PR & Communications strategy company, seeks to employ a Media Services Consultant. The Media Services Analyst supports the development, planning, execution, management and measurement of media and digital media solutions for the company’s clients.











Key Responsibilities:




  • Develop media plans and recommendations based on client objectives, target audiences, budgets and campaign requirements.


  • Identify appropriate traditional, digital, social, broadcast, print, outdoor and other relevant media channels.


  • Conduct audience, market and media landscape research to inform channel selection and campaign strategy.


  • Translate client briefs into clear media objectives, strategies, timelines, deliverables and KPIs.


  • Recommend media opportunities, platforms and partnerships that strengthen client visibility and campaign impact.


  • Plan, coordinate and monitor digital media campaigns across social, websites, digital publications, search and paid media channels.



  • Work with creative and account teams to ensure digital assets meet campaign objectives, specifications, timelines and platform requirements.



  • Support setup, optimisation and monitoring of paid digital campaigns where applicable.



  • Monitor performance and recommend adjustments to improve reach, engagement, traffic, conversions and other agreed outcomes.



  • Stay current with changes in digital platforms, algorithms, audience behaviour, advertising formats and emerging opportunities.


  • ​Coordinate media buying, booking, placement and scheduling in line with approved media plans and budgets.


  • Source, evaluate and maintain relationships with media houses, publishers, platforms, influencers and other media vendors.


  • Obtain and compare media rates, packages, inventory and commercial opportunities.


  • Coordinate placements and ensure agreed deliverables are executed accurately and within approved timelines.


  • Track media spend, placements, deliverables and documentation and escalate discrepancies promptly.


  • Support negotiations with media vendors and contribute to securing favourable rates, value-adds and placement opportunities.


  • Support media outreach and relationship-building activities for client campaigns and corporate communications programmes.


  • Identify relevant journalists, editors, publications, broadcasters, digital platforms and other media stakeholders.


  • Support press release distribution, media pitching, interview opportunities, media monitoring and coverage tracking.


  • Maintain an up-to-date media database and record of relevant media contacts and opportunities.


  • Monitor relevant conversations and emerging media opportunities that may benefit clients.


  • Conduct daily and periodic monitoring of client coverage across traditional and digital media channels.


  • Track reach, impressions, engagement, sentiment, share of voice, traffic, conversions and other relevant metrics.


  • Prepare clear and timely media performance reports, dashboards and campaign summaries.


  • Analyse campaign results against agreed KPIs and identify trends, gaps, risks and opportunities.


  • Translate media data into practical recommendations for future campaigns and client outcomes.


  • Work closely with account and client service teams to understand client businesses, priorities, audiences and communication objectives.


  • Participate in client meetings, strategy sessions, campaign reviews, pitches and presentations where required.


  • Respond promptly and professionally to client media-related requests and follow through on agreed deliverables.


  • Communicate timelines, dependencies, risks and required client inputs clearly.


  • Maintain accurate records of client briefs, media plans, approvals, campaign activity, reports and correspondence.


  • Coordinate with Brands & Corporate, Creative Services, Digital PR, Public Affairs and other relevant company teams to deliver integrated campaigns.


  • Develop campaign timelines, media schedules and execution trackers.


  • Identify execution risks early and escalate issues with appropriate recommendations.


  • Ensure media deliverables meet agreed quality standards, client requirements and the company's processes.


  • Contribute to new business pitches, proposals, tenders and strategic presentations by developing media strategies and recommendations.


  • Identify potential media-led opportunities within existing and prospective client accounts.


  • Support development of new media products, packages and commercial opportunities.


  • Contribute to revenue growth through additional media services, campaign extensions and cross-selling opportunities.


  • Continuously build knowledge of the media, advertising, digital marketing, PR and communications landscape.


  • Monitor competitor activity, industry developments, emerging media platforms and audience behaviour.


  • Participate actively in the company's learning and development activities.


  • Carry out other duties reasonably assigned by Management in line with the requirements of the role.







Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Media Studies, Business Administration or a related discipline. Relevant professional qualification or certification in media, advertising, digital marketing, communications or public relations is an advantage.


  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in media services, media planning/buying, digital marketing, advertising, PR, communications or a related client-service environment.


  • Demonstrable experience supporting or managing media campaigns across digital and/or traditional channels.


  • Experience working with media vendors, publishers, platforms, agencies or corporate clients is preferred.


  • Working knowledge of digital analytics, social media analytics and campaign reporting tools.


  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with media buying, monitoring, social media management, analytics, advertising or CRM platforms is an advantage




Technical Skills




  • Google Analytics and digital reporting tools.



  • Meta Ads Manager and other paid social advertising platforms.



  • Google Ads and search advertising fundamentals.



  • Social media management and scheduling platforms.



  • SEO and digital audience analytics.



  • Media monitoring and social listening tools.



  • Excel/Google Sheets for campaign reporting and analysis.



  • Understanding of reach, impressions, CPM, CPC, CTR, engagement, conversion and ROI.
