JOB OVERVIEW

  • Our Client, a multinational in the FMCG sector, is seeking to hire a National Sales and Marketing Manager SPECIFICALLY WITH EXPERIENCE IN THE BEVERAGE INDUSTRY, who will oversee the overall commercial strategy of their brand, sales, sales activation, client/principal engagement, and internal strategy numbers within the distribution house.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure profitable growth in sales revenue through planning, execution, and management of a supportive team.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee national sales, promotions, collections, and other activities to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and execute consumer marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive sales growth.
  • Implement customer marketing initiatives to improve customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Build positive working relationships with existing clients for repeat business.
  • Identify gaps and find potential customers to expand distribution and grow sales.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to plan promotional activities, trade shows, and special events.
  • Motivate and guide the sales team to achieve revenue targets.
  • Maintain sales management and reporting tools to achieve business objectives.
  • Coordinate with management to develop a sales plan, budget, and schedule.
  • Interact with the sales team to develop sales plans and strategies.
  • Develop creative sales techniques and tactics to meet business goals.
  • Understand client needs and provide appropriate sales solutions.
  • Address client issues and queries within the agreed timeline.
  • Prepare sales contracts, proposals, and reports for management and customers.
  • Develop sales presentations for the board of directors and customers.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of traditional sales operations experience.
  • Proven experience in consumer marketing, customer marketing, and sales roles within the beverage industry.
  • Experience working in an FMCG sales environment, specifically in the beverage industry, where an understanding of strategic sales processes
  • and the steps necessary to drive sales results is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects for sales process or program implementation from concept to completion.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team where open, collaborative communication is expected.
  • Exhibits personal traits of curiosity, modesty, achievement orientation, and conscientiousness.
  • Team player who is creative, process-oriented, and committed.
  • Excellent knowledge and use of Basic MS Office Suites (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
