Node JS Developer

We are seeking a skilled JavaScript Developer to work across our frontend and backend systems, helping us build and scale our web and mobile experiences, AI-driven workflows, and partner integration platform. You will work closely with product, design, AI, and backend teams to deliver features that directly impact healthcare access for millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

· Build and maintain web and mobile application features using JavaScript-based frameworks

· Develop user-facing features for health chat, voice, image upload, and marketplace flows

· Work on backend services and APIs that power AwaDoc’s AI workflows and partner integrations

· Integrate third-party APIs (AI services, payments, telemedicine, pharmacy, labs)

· Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX into clean, accessible interfaces

· Optimize applications for performance, low bandwidth, and mobile-first users

· Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code

· Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices

· Support deployment, monitoring, and debugging in production environments

Requirements

· Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)

· Experience with React.js / Next.js or similar frontend frameworks

· Experience with Node.js and building RESTful APIs

· Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)

· Experience integrating third-party APIs aVERnd webhooks

· Understanding of authentication, authorization, and data security basics

· Ability to write maintainable, testable code

· Comfortable working in a remote, fast-moving startup environment
