Job Description - Operations Analyst (Intelligence Team)

The Role


Why it’s important: The Intelligence Operations Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of intelligence outputs that drive decision-making for our clients. This role is critical for maintaining the high standards Stears is known for, supporting operational efficiency, and enabling seamless collaboration across teams.



What it includes: As an Intelligence Operations Analyst, your mission is to execute tasks related to the release, quality assurance, and administration of intelligence outputs. This role also involves identifying areas for process improvement, supporting automation initiatives, and fostering collaboration across teams. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a proactive approach to operational efficiency.



Responsibilities:



As an Intelligence Operations Analyst at Stears, you are responsible for:



  • Release Management:

    • Execute the release of intelligence reports, datasets, and data solutions in line with existing processes.

    • Perform pre-release and post-release quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and discoverability of the team's outputs.

    • Maintain and update release schedules, communicating any changes to stakeholders promptly.



  • Platform Administration:

    • Manage and update intelligence metadata, including tagging, filtering, and navigation categories.

    • Collaborate with platform teams to ensure metadata accurately reflects the latest intelligence outputs.

    • Assist in standardising dataset tagging and review processes to enhance searchability.



  • Quality Assurance Support:

    • Conduct rigorous quality assurance checks on intelligence outputs to ensure adherence to company standards.

    • Document and report issues identified during QA, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve them efficiently.

    • Maintain comprehensive records of quality assurance processes and results.



  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify areas for operational improvement or automation within intelligence processes.

    • Partner with desk leads and intelligence team members to streamline operations and workflows.

    • Educate team members on the importance of their roles in the intelligence process, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.



  • Operational Analytics:

    • Leverage analytics tools to monitor and analyse key performance metrics.

    • Derive insights from operational data to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.

    • Report on performance metrics to identify improvement areas and ensure accountability within the team.





We are looking for someone who has:



  • Experience: Prior experience in intelligence/data operations, data management, or a related field.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality assurance and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with project management tools and process improvement methodologies.

  • Communication: Strong problem-solving and communication skills to address challenges and articulate solutions clearly.

  • Proactivity: A self-starter attitude with a drive for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
