Role Overview
Our client’s team is looking for a People Lead to join the People team in Nigeria. You will play a critical role in shaping the employee experience, strengthening manager capability, and ensuring our people practices are thoughtful, scalable, and aligned to business goals. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and can balance strategy with execution. You will partner closely with leaders across the business to support team health, performance, organisational effectiveness, employee relations, talent management, and people programs that help our client build and retain exceptional talent. The successful candidate must be able to work across a wide range of teams and situations with sound judgment, empathy, discretion, and strong execution. This role will report to the Head of People, and it is strongly preferred that the candidate is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Requirements
A minimum of 9 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
You are outcome-oriented and take ownership from problem definition through to delivery and measurement.
You communicate clearly and adaptably across technical and non-technical audiences.
You use data to prioritise work and make trade-offs under uncertainty.
You are collaborative, open to feedback, and comfortable working in fast-moving, cross-functional teams.
You maintain high standards for quality and are pragmatic about shipping iterative improvements.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery for a clearly defined area of work, setting priorities and driving outcomes that support team and company goals.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (product, design, engineering, operations, and customer teams) to translate strategy into pragmatic plans and measurable results.
Define, monitor and report on success metrics; use data to inform decisions and iterate quickly.
Identify and manage risks, escalate when necessary, and ensure timely resolution of blockers.
Document key decisions, maintain clear change management processes, and contribute to continuous improvement of team processes.
Coach and support colleagues where relevant, sharing knowledge to raise the team’s capability.
