Port Engineer

• Our client is seeking an experienced Port Engineer to manage and optimize the operation of their vessel fleet at Port Harcourt.
• The ideal candidate will independently diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel-powered vessels and equipment, ensuring optimal availability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of diesel engines, generators, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Monitor and improve planned maintenance programs.
• Manage repair budgets and control costs.
• Lead and mentor technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and conduct risk assessments.

Qualifications

• HND/Bachelor's degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
• Certificate of competency Class 1 NCV or Class 2 unlimited.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant workshop experience on the role.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
