Job Description - Portfolio Manager

Our client is a financial institution that provides share management,
capital raising, investment, market research, analysis and advisory services in
Corporate Finance, Equities and Fixed Income Markets to diversified clientele.

Responsibilities:

· Generating an investment policy statement outlining our clients’ investment objectives
·   Staying up to date with relevant investment,
trading news, and economic trends.
·   Constructing successful investment portfolios
informed by market conditions and economic trends. Buying and selling securities in client
accounts to maintain a specific investment strategy or to reach an investment
objective.
·   Perform significant market research to develop portfolios.
·   Communicate with clients about their accounts,
market conditions and economic trends.
·     Manage equity and bond portfolios to maximize investment
returns.
· Designing investment packages, managing client
expectations and transactions to achieve set objectives.
· Commensurate acceptable levels of risk based on
client instructions.
· Maintaining new and existing client relationships,
including informing clients of market conditions, updating them on investment research
and economic trends, and
· Meeting with them to discuss their portfolio performance
and investment objectives.
· Prospecting for new clients

Requirements

· B.SC Business Administration/Finance/Economics
·     Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA
Should be an added advantage
· 5 - 7 years relevant experience
· Demonstrated understanding of capital markets
· Excellent written and verbal communication
skills
·   Highly organized and detail oriented.
·   Strong analytical skills with high level of attention
·   Financial Accounting and Analysis
·   Proficient use of accounting software (Info ware,
sage300, cloud integra)
·   Proficient use of Microsoft office
