Job Title: Process Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

Provide process engineering support for surface production systems design, testing, pre-commissioning and start up.
Mentoring of Junior process engineers in the process engineering group, capturing and dissemination of process engineering knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate, Optimize and Debottleneck Surface Production Systems
• Support the design of Surface Production systems to meet the required throughput Utilizing Simulation Tools.
• Check, Review and Approve Process Documentation in assigned Project
• Interface with process counterpart in Contractor’s engineering team during the Engineering Phase of projects
• Ensure that Process Design is carried out in accordance with internal company standards and in line with national standards, recommended International Standards and best practices.
• Evaluation of contractors during prequalification and technical stages of a project and selection of best technical/economical solutions and products for process systems
• Co-ordinate activities in the process engineering group and Conduct process engineering in-house reviews for projects.
• Promptly notify superior if a design change will lead to cost variation in a project and review requests for variation from contractor relevant to process design.
• Make input to cost estimate for projects.
• Partake or dispatch engineers for site survey and make input in the initial phases of projects, in design concept selection.

QUALIFICATION

Engineering degree in Chemical or Process Engineering

• Corporate Member NSE/COREN
• Corporate Member of Institute of Chemical Engineers ICHEMe (would be an advantage)

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry in both onshore and/or offshore facilities
• At least 3 years of experience and proven track record in hydrocarbons processing studies, process simulation and project development
• At least 2 years relevant and related experience in design and operation of high H2S or CO2 content facilities with stringent HSE requirements

• Developing Process & Utility Engineering Flow schemes,
• Selecting and Specifying Process Equipment.
• Defining Process System Operating Envelope.
• Specifying Process Control and Measurement Philosophies and requirements
• Specifying Process Safeguarding Philosophies and requirements.
• Provision of Process Eng Support for Plant Start-up and Testing.
• Provision of Process, Plant and Pipeline system Performance Evaluation & Monitoring,
• Optimising Process, Plant and Pipeline system Performance & De-bottlenecking
