Job Description - Product Manager

The role holder will be responsible for development and execution of innovative, and scalable product strategies and offerings primarily for our retail omnichannel - that utilizes multiple channels, such as physical stores, e-commerce websites, and mobile apps to deliver value to customers and increase company’s revenue streams to meet the company’s ambitious strategic goals within agreed budget and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute product delivery across the full lifecycle from ideation to full implementation, user feedback and post-launch optimization
    • Oversee product development, website enhancements, mobile apps, in-store technology, and integration with third-party platform
    • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure an intuitive and user-friendly experience for both customers and company staff
    • Ensure product quality assurance per desired standards of quality, usability, and performance.
    • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve the product.
  • Oversee the marketing and promotion of the product to the public
  • Lead market research and analysis to understand customer needs, pain points, and industry trends in traditional retail, e-commerce retail, and omnichannel retail.
  • Drive continuous optimization and improvement of new product offerings by tracking and monitoring products performance, analyzing and reporting relevant data, identifying areas of opportunity, and securing buy-in from key partner teams to further pursue. 
  • Utilizing data analytics to track the products’ key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, reliability and revenue performance of the products.
  • Review and adjust inventory levels and product production schedules to maintain product availability
  • Manage relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new product offerings via the omnichannel and other related strategic initiatives/solutions that exceed customers’ expectations.
  • Support other strategic and innovative cross-company projects with a strong commitment to scalability, and stability.

Education/Experience Required

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
  • Five years’ work experience and demonstrated success in Product Management as a product manager and/or product owner in a fast-paced and agile organization is required. Similar experience implementing retail omnichannel in a modern retail chain will be an added advantage.
  • The candidate must also have successful experience in launching and driving ecommerce products from the ground up with business solutions and introducing them to the market.
  • Experience in facilitating and influencing product, sales, and technology transformations.
  • Experience with strategic planning and prioritization
  • Experience with product and process transformation, business case development, change management, and stakeholders’ management.
  • Ability to work independently, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience collaborating in digital space with product and technology partners to drive support of strategic initiatives across the business.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Required

  • Data Analytics Skills: Ability to analyze data using data analytics tools
  • Project and Stakeholder management skills: Ability to influence and build consensus across an organization. Also able to use project management tools.
  • Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and deliver value quickly, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, capable of working under minimal supervision with strong decision making, and creative thinking skills.
  • An initiator and a pusher. Has the urge and ability to make things happen and to solve practical problems in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
  • Achievement-orientation with determination in situations involving frequent change, high expectations, and ambiguity.
  • Confident communicator with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable analytical skills: the ability to formulate and present actionable insight from analysis of research data.

Key Results Area

  • Launch at least one major product initiative each quarter or in accordance with the set timelines.
  • 100% adoption of each product offering within the first three months of launch
  • Improved revenues across the company
