Production Designer

Job Title: Creative Spatial Designer

Reports to: Creative Director, Design

Grade Level: Senior Associate

Job Summary:
Responsible for conceptualising, designing, and executing immersive environments, stage designs, and brand activations that elevate LIVESPOT360’s experiences. You will transform physical spaces into engaging brand stories through innovative set designs, event spaces, exhibition stands, retail experiences, and interactive installations. Your expertise in spatial storytelling, material innovation, and collaboration will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge brand activations and entertainment experiences.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Concept Development & Spatial Storytelling

• Design dynamic and immersive environments that enhance live experiences, entertainment activations, and brand storytelling.


• Develop event stage designs, set layouts, pop-up installations, trade show booths, and branded spaces.


• Create 3D visualisations, sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings to communicate spatial concepts.

Collaboration & Production Execution

• Work closely with creative teams, architects, and fabricators to ensure designs are feasible and production-ready.


• Supervise the execution, installation, and building of spatial designs to ensure they meet artistic and functional standards.


• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and venue teams to ensure materials and builds align with design specifications.

Material Innovation & Sustainability

• Research and incorporate cutting-edge materials, lighting, textures, and digital integrations (AR/VR, projection mapping) to enhance spatial experiences.


• Explore sustainable and eco-friendly design solutions for LIVESPOT360’s events and productions.

Project & Workflow Management

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with budgets, timelines, and creative direction.


• Produce and review technical drawings and floor plans for production teams.


• Conduct site visits and oversee spatial builds to ensure precision in execution.

Trend Awareness & Innovation

• Stay updated on global trends in experiential design, event production, architecture, and interactive installations.


• Innovate new ways to enhance audience engagement through spatial storytelling.

Qualifications, Competency & Skills Required:

Design & Software Proficiency:

• Expertise in 3D design software (SketchUp, Rhino, AutoCAD, Cinema 4D, Blender, 3ds Max).


• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign).


• Knowledge of lighting design, interactive technologies (AR, VR, projection mapping), and sustainable materials (preferred).


• 3D rendering (Vray, Enscape, Corona Render).

Spatial & Architectural Design Expertise:

• Strong understanding of spatial planning, material selection, and set construction.


• Experience designing for large-scale events, concerts, exhibitions, brand activations, or retail experiences.


• Ability to translate concepts into detailed blueprints and technical drawings.

Creative & Conceptual Thinking:

• Ability to visualise and design immersive, functional, and aesthetically compelling spaces.


• Strong knowledge of user experience (UX) in physical environments.


• Passion for pushing the boundaries of experiential and interactive design.

Collaboration & Project Execution:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (production, marketing, creative directors).


• Ability to work under pressure, manage timelines, and oversee execution from concept to completion.

Industry Knowledge & Passion for Innovation:

• Keen interest in experiential marketing, entertainment, stage production, and brand storytelling.


• Awareness of global trends in immersive environments, interactive installations, and spatial technology.

Qualifications, Competency & Skills Required:  

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. 


• Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to quality control, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all design deliverables.


• Proven leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and guiding junior designers. 


• A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 


• Experienced Microsoft Office user, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 


• Competent Internet, Email and Google applications user. 


• A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, demonstrating expertise in both print and digital media. 


• In-depth knowledge of design principles, typography, layout, color theory, and current design trends. 


• Ability to effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to both creative and non-creative team members. 


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 


• Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. 


• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.


• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
