Job Title: Production Manager – Area A/B

JOB SUMMARY
Manage area asset operations spread over 1,097sq km, with infield pipelines and distribution systems running into multi-100’s km, 8 gas oil separation facilities, multiple gas lift compressor stations with high pressure lift gas distribution network, central storage facility and export pump station to evacuate product through transmission line to export terminal.
Member of the HEOSL Warri Leadership Team reporting to the Production Director
Participate in and/or support HEOSL external JV/stakeholder engagements (NPDC, NUPRC, Shareholder, Board, Finance/Budget Boards as appropriate).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead Production Business
• Lead asset-based operations organisation, accountable for the production plan delivery on an annual, quarterly, monthly and daily basis. 2020- Dimensions: 500 field staff and 3rd party contractors, target ca 17MMbarrels fiscal oil production, 46 interventions, 2 Injectors and 3 new wells in phased from Q4.
• Support Commercial Team in actively managing WP&B Plan and rolling 5-year agenda.
• Role requires proactive liaison with clients, contractors, government agencies and other partners and stakeholders. Ensure annual production/growth goals are achieved.
• Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organisation maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability and shareholder returns.
• Support the appraisal of future development and production projects that economically add reserves and future production.
• Oversee the design and implementation of Operational Excellence plans across the Area A/B to drive business value, leading work process improvements and standardization efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Co sponsor a mindset of Continuous Improvement (CI) throughout the organisation acting as a CI role model.
• Co sponsor production planning, well testing, pressure surveying, wireline interventions and other maintenance and production enhancement activities.
• Maintain a motivated workforce through regular high-quality employee engagement and through effective use of company reward and recognition polices.
Deputize for the PRODUCTION DIRECTOR from time to time as required.
Review and approves cost control reports, cost estimates, and manpower and facilities requirements forecasts.
• Instill a learning culture across Area A/B, providing focused coaching and mentoring reports. Develop and nurture top talent and support HEOSL efforts for staff succession planning.
• Work with HR GM and Production Director to identify and secure exceptional talent.
• Champion localization agenda.
• Co-sponsor OML30 Tecom.
• Deputy Leader OML30 Opcom with JV.
• Co-sponsor Monthly Cash Calls, Quarterly and Annual Business Performance Activities.
• Collaborate with Development/ Technical Director/ GM Commercial to screen and prioritize new projects and opportunities.
• Champion HSE Risk framework.
• Co champion Asset Crisis Management plan.
• Liaise with industry contemporize and import best practice.
• Present at industry forums as required.
HSE Champion
• Ensure compliance with government regulations including HSE, Security and Social Development.
• Co- lead a campaign to upgrade the current safety culture in the field as part of HEOSL’s goal zero drive.
• Implement job and safety training continuously to employees so they have the abilities to identify, isolate and eliminate work hazards. Develop specific short- term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, legislative, local and international HSE standards, and enhance the company’s reputation.
• Co-sponsor companywide Goal Zero campaigns and HSE Agenda.

QUALIFICATION
Key qualifications for this role are:
• A minimum of 15 years' experience in hydrocarbon operations preferably in a culturally diverse working environment.
• Strong experience of Oil and Gas in E&P Upstream business managing and growing production in brown field assets in challenging basin with community, asset integrity and reliable operation as key enabling metrics.
• Interpersonal communication skills are critically important and should be demonstrably excellent.
• Capable of working autonomously and organizing time and resources to achieve work deliverables to defined standards.
• Personal behaviours and work ethic that leads by example.
• Excellent broad range of relevant HSE knowledge.
• Degree in Engineering or Applied science or Petroleum related engineering.
