Job Description - Production Scheduler

Summary:

The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of manufacturing operations by developing and maintaining accurate, dynamic production schedules. This position is responsible for aligning production plans with demand forecasts, inventory availability, and operational capacity, ensuring on-time delivery while minimizing waste and downtime. By coordinating closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Production Supervisors, the Scheduler ensures compliance with regulatory standards, product safety protocols, and operational efficiency. The role is essential to maintaining production continuity, optimizing resource utilization, and supporting the overall supply chain performance.

Responsibilities:

Create, maintain, and optimize production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, capacity, and material availability.
Translate the supply plan into detailed shop-floor production orders.
Adjust schedules in response to demand fluctuations, equipment breakdowns, or material constraints.
Communicate production plans to Production Supervisors, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Warehouse teams.
Collaborate with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure timely availability of raw and packaging materials.
Liaise with Maintenance to schedule preventive maintenance without disrupting production.
Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure batch sequencing meets regulatory, hygiene, and allergen-control requirements.
