Our client, an Architectural firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects, specifically midrise and high-rise buildings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a reputable construction company and demonstrate the ability to manage timelines, contractors, materials, and budgets effectively. This position requires a high degree of competence, ownership, and leadership in the field.
Summary of Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones
Define scope, deliverables, and resource needs
Oversee day-to-day site operations and project execution
Budget & Cost Management
Monitor project budgets and control expenditures
Track and approve payments, invoices, and material procurement
Ensure cost-efficiency while maintaining quality standards
Team & Contractor Coordination
Supervise site engineers, foremen, and labor teams
Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers
Conduct regular site meetings to ensure alignment and progress
Quality & Compliance
Ensure construction meets architectural and structural specifications
Conduct site inspections to maintain quality standards
Ensure compliance with building regulations, safety codes, and company policies
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies
Provide regular updates and detailed progress reports
Address issues or delays proactively and professionally
Risk & Issue Management
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans
Resolve on-site challenges and prevent project delays
Enforce HSE standards and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a Project Manager or Site Manager in a structured construction company
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or related field
Must have worked on at least one mid-rise or high-rise building project
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in project management tools and construction software
Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., COREN, NSE, or NIQS) is an advantage
Preferred Skills
Hands-on, practical approach to site management
Ability to multitask and deliver under pressure
Strong knowledge of HSE protocols and construction regulations
