Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing company based in Lekki, Lagos, specializing in the supply of premium materials for home construction and renovation. Their extensive product portfolio includes bathroom fittings, tiles, doors, kitchen fixtures, elevator parts, and various bespoke interior and exterior solutions.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Purchase Officer to handle the end-to-end procurement process. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of material sourcing, supplier management, and inventory coordination within the construction and home improvement sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with reliable suppliers for high-quality materials at the best prices.

• Maintain and update a comprehensive database of vendors and suppliers.

• Manage purchase orders from initiation to delivery and ensure proper documentation.

• Collaborate with warehouse/store teams to monitor stock levels and forecast material needs.

• Track orders and ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.

• Liaise with internal teams to understand material requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.

• Ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies and industry standards.

• Prepare accurate procurement reports and participate in audits when required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, or any related field.

• Minimum of 2-4 years proven experience in procurement, preferably in building materials, fittings, or construction-related industries.

• Strong knowledge of vendor management and negotiation strategies.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Familiarity with inventory software and Microsoft Excel.

• Good understanding of the Lekki-Ajah market terrain is an added advantage.

• Strong communication and analytical thinking skills.

• Must reside within Lekki or its environs.
