About Us

Our client is a British curriculum school located in GRA Ikeja, Lagos, welcoming learners from infancy through age 18 in both day and international-standard boarding settings. The school offers a range of curricula, including Cambridge Primary, Cambridge IGCSE, British and Canadian programmes, and a bespoke curriculum, alongside WAEC and Ontario Secondary School Diploma pathways at the secondary level.

Job Purpose

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for safeguarding and continuously improving academic and operational standards across the whole school. Working closely with the School Leadership Team, the role holder will design and implement quality assurance frameworks that ensure teaching, learning, safeguarding and administrative practices consistently meet and exceed British curriculum and school improvement benchmarks

The ideal candidate will bring proven Quality Assurance or School Improvement experience gained within a British school setting, using this expertise to strengthen consistency, accountability and continuous improvement across all year groups and departments.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, implement and continuously review a whole-school quality assurance framework aligned with British curriculum and school improvement standards.

  • Plan and conduct regular internal audits, learning walks, lesson observations and work scrutiny across all year groups and subject areas.

  • Monitor teaching and learning standards, providing constructive, evidence-based feedback to teaching staff and departmental heads.

  • Coordinate the school's preparation for external inspections, accreditations and curriculum audits (e.g. British Schools Overseas, Cambridge, or equivalent frameworks).

  • Track and analyse school-wide performance data (academic outcomes, attendance, behaviour, and staff performance) to identify trends and improvement priorities.

  • Review and strengthen school policies, procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory, safeguarding and curriculum requirements.

  • Work with the School Leadership Team to design and monitor school improvement plans, setting clear targets and tracking progress against them.

  • Support the design and delivery of staff training and continuous professional development linked to quality assurance findings.

  • Gather and act on feedback from students, parents and staff to inform quality improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate quality assurance records, reports and evidence portfolios for leadership, governance and inspection purposes.

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, high expectations and accountability across the whole school community.

  • Liaise with external examination bodies, curriculum partners and regulatory agencies as required.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree or a relevant professional qualification.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

  • Prior experience working within a British school is required.

  • Demonstrable experience in Quality Assurance and/or School Improvement.

Skills & Attributes:



  • Strong working knowledge of British curriculum standards and school inspection/accreditation frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable improvement plans.

  • Strong report-writing and documentation skills.

  • Confident communicator, able to give constructive feedback to teaching and non-teaching staff at all levels.

  • High attention to detail and a rigorous, structured approach to auditing and evaluation.

  • Sound understanding of safeguarding, compliance and school governance requirements.

  • Collaborative, diplomatic and able to build strong working relationships across the whole school community.

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a part-time capacity.
