Job Description

  • AMI is looking for an ambitious and talented Regional Sourcing Specialist to be based preferably in Nigeria, with options for Ghana and Kenya, on a permanent basis.
  • The main function of the Growth Marketing Specialist is to drive sales and recruitment for AMI’s business development programmes, implementing and contributing to strategy for recruiting, building relationships, and enrolling leaders and entrepreneurs in AMI programmes.
  • The Specialist will support the Sourcing & Activation team in delivering events, materials, and digital campaigns, ensuring incoming and enrolled participants' learning needs are met and manage customer contacts through a CRM system

Sales and Recruitment:

  • Develop and execute a regional sourcing strategy to drive sales and recruit participants for AMI’s Impact programs.
  • Identify and engage with potential candidates for the Aspire Stanford Seed Program and other AMI Impact programs.
  • Conduct outreach activities including cold calls, emails, networking events, and social media engagement to generate leads.

Relationship Building:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, business leaders, industry associations, and other relevant organisations.
  • Act as a liaison between AMI and prospective program participants, providing detailed information about program benefits, requirements, and application processes.

Enrollment Management:

  • Manage the end-to-end enrollment process, from initial contact to program admission, ensuring a seamless experience for all applicants.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that attract high-quality applicants.

Strategy Implementation:

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of regional recruitment strategies to meet enrollment targets.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and feedback from prospective participants to continuously improve recruitment approaches.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities and applicant interactions in AMI’s CRM system.
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment metrics, progress towards targets, and insights from the field.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business studies, social science or any relevant course from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years programme sales and business development experience.Experience related to business learning programmes.
  • Exceptional project management skills to monitor leads in the business development process, from lead generation through to closure
  • Experience using Zoho or other CRM systems desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and speaks with confidence and conviction.
  • The individual is able to convince people to consider options beyond that of which they have already considered or discovered themselves.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and business sense to drive growth and close deals 
  • Outgoing personality with great relationship building and management skills 
  • Proven ability to generate new leads and relationships and systematically convert those leads into sales
  • Highly level of proficiency with computer programmes (MS Office etc.) and online tools (social media, CRMs, email systems)
  • Passionate about business learning and capacity building for SMEs and African leaders
