Job Description - Sales Director




We are seeking a high-performing Sales Director. The successful candidate will meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Sales Director will prospect for new opportunities within and outside their territories, follow up with incoming leads and proactively contact customers to sell additional functionality or additional licenses, as well as generate referrals for new business.







You will also have the opportunity to follow up with customers and prospects who attend marketing events, including webcasts, workshops or tradeshows.







Sales director responsibilities will also include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets. Sales director duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends.











Responsibilities













  • Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Reporting on for​ces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of account













  • Requirements



    • An ideal candidate should be able to work flexibly, either from home, office or on transit.


    • 3-5 years of business-to-business inside sales experience.


    • Proven track record to achieve and overachieve sales and an exceptional prospecting skills


    • The ability to handle dozens of opportunities in parallel and return high close ratio.


    • Strong closing ability.


    • Savvy and polished – must be able to sell complex technical solutions to a sophisticated user base.


    • Strong oral and written communication skills– all of your communication with customers will be via phone, email or meeting.


    • Must be willing and able to quickly learn business management and cloud softwares.


    • Organized, self-motivated and results-driven.
