JOB PURPOSE  

To Support HHOG development team in well and reservoir management within OML-17.  

Plan and coordinate activities relating to hydrocarbon resource management and maturation process within the asset. 

Ensure standards, policies and procedures in generation and maintenance of long and short term production forecasts.  

Focus on ensuring delivery of quality reservoir engineering input with the objective of maximizing the ultimate recovery of hydrocarbons 

Manage the skills /competence development and deployment of young staff. 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Manage all reservoir-engineering activities within the Development Team. 

Ensure delivery of quality reservoir engineering input with the objective of maximizing the ultimate recovery of hydrocarbons. 

Work closely with other disciplines for detailed Reservoir studies and integrated subsurface reviews and studies. 

Execute the Well and Reservoir Surveillance / Management process for the fields in Asset Team.  

Work with the Production technologist to Identify data gathering acquisition requirements - pressures (BHP, RFT, MDT etc.), PVT, fluid contacts (e.g. cased-hole RST), production splits (PLTs), production measurement improvements.  

Monitor compliance with reservoir management guidelines and take corrective actions as appropriate.  

Work with other disciplines for integrated well planning and drilling. 

Ensure the regular update of Production forecast into the integrated activity plan.  

Manage and update the Hydrocarbon resource database for the asset.

DIMENSIONS (METRICS) 

Management of production of oil and gas from over 100 active Wells, and about ten fields.  

Reservoir Engineering input into +100 new wells over a 5-year period to be drilled as part of the HHOG growth plan in OML-17. 

Management and optimization of Total discovered resource of about 1.7 MMMboe in about seven Major Fields.  

Accountable for the Production forecasts in the short- and long-term Business plan.

Petroleum Engineers, Engineering Function, CASHES organization, Production Function. 

Finance team. SCM team. Contractors. JV partners. 

External Studies Teams, Govt agencies, professional bodies, other operators. 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

Minimum B.Sc. Hons. or/with M.Sc./ Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or other related Engineering fields with typically 15 years of direct experience in the discipline as applied to the E&P business.  

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT 

In depth exposure and competence in core areas of Reservoir Engineering, including, but not limited to, Well and Reservoir surveillance, Resource estimation, reporting and auditing, Drilling and Workover support, Well testing and pressure transient analysis, fluid sampling and PVT analysis, well inflow and outflow performance simulation, Cased and open hole Production logging interpretation, Reservoir analysis techniques and Material balance, Numerical Reservoir Simulation (construction, calibration and prediction), Mature and Green Field  development and Reservoir planning, Short and long term Production forecasting.  

Knowledgeable in oil industry technical processes (including Well delivery processes, hydrocarbon field development planning etc.). 

Knowledgeable in Wells HSSE processes and track record of delivery. 

Good communicator able to constructively facilitate, integrate and manage processes pertaining to hydrocarbon development.  

Strong interpersonal skills, and experience in interacting with internal and external stakeholder. 

Strong analytical skills and ability to pull together information, identify the issues, then formulate and deliver action plans.
