Retail Sales Associate

• Welcome and greet customers in a warm manner.
  
• Follow up with sales leads and close them accordingly.
  
• Merchandise the store in line with the Alara brand guidelines to encourage sales.
  
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  
• Maintain outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
  
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants and meet them accordingly.
  
• Manage point-of-sale processes.
  
• Accurately describe product features and benefits to customers.
  
• Maintain an updated record of customer data.
  
• Perform opening and closing store processes daily.
  
• Maintain relationships with all customers and manage their needs.
  
• Upsell and cross-sell products to customers based on discretion.
  
• Determine bills by getting the total price and tax on merchandise.
  
• Keep record of sales, prepare inventory of stock, and order merchandise.
  
• Reconcile sales records with the Accountant and Inventory Teams.
  
• Keep the shop floor clean, tidy, and orderly at all times.
  
• Perform any other tasks as assigned.
  

Requirements

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Must have an in-depth knowledge of the products in the store.
  
• Knowledge of consumer spending trends and buying patterns.
  
• Standard knowledge of the use of sales software.
  
• Good data entry skills
  
• Excellent customer-facing skills.
  
• Knowledge and understanding of business policies and procedures.
  
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
  
• Must be able to prepare reports and correspondence

• BSc. / HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.

• Must have a friendly personality.
