Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve 100% of Nigeria's P&L targets for the fiscal year.
• Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in the ocean freight segment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients, shipping lines, port authorities, and regulatory agencies.
• Lead, manage, and mentor the Nigeria sales team to deliver consistent and sustainable performance.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business strategy.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Report regularly on sales performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives to the CEO.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
Competency and Skill Requirement
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• High level of commercial awareness and business acumen.
Job-Related Skills
• Proven expertise in Core sales and operations within Nigeria.
• Deep understanding of the freight forwarding ecosystem and supply chain processes.
• Ability to manage high-value client accounts and complex contracts.
Experience and Qualification
• A minimum of 10 years’ hands-on experience in core sales, with a strong willingness to take on challenging responsibilities in freight forwarding sales.
