SAP-BASIS Consultant (Oil and Gas)

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP System Administration: Administer and maintain SAP systems, including installation, configuration, and patching.

2. System Performance Optimization: Optimize system performance, including database tuning, memory management, and system monitoring.

3. Security and Authorization: Manage security and authorization, including user administration, role management, and audit logging.

4. Data Management: Manage data , including data backup and recovery, data archiving, and data migration.

5. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for SAP-BASIS systems.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate with functional teams, including business users, project managers, and technical teams.

7. Documentation and knowledge Management: Create and maintain documentation, including system documentation, user manuals, and knowledge base articles.

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Experience: 7+ years of experience in SAP BASIS administration, specifically in the oil and gas sector.

3. Oil and Gas Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the Oil and gas industry, including upstream, midstream and downstream operations.

4. SAP-BASIS Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SAP-BASIS administration, including system installation, configuration and patching.

5. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP-BASIS administration tools such as SAP GUI, SAP CCMS, and SAP Solution Manager.

6. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, Collaboration and problem solving skills.

7. Certifications: SAP certifications in SAP-BASIS administration or other related areas are preferred.

Nice to Have

1. Experience with SAP S/4HANA: Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, including system architecture and administration.

2. Knowledge of SAP Cloud Technologies: Understanding of SAP on cloud platform, including cloud infrastructure and administration.

3. Experience with Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
