WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 7:20 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional Saturday work as required
JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Teacher to join our international secondary school. As a Chemistry Teacher in our school, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students from various cultural backgrounds. Our school uses the National Curriculum for England and Wales that promotes academic excellence.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt to diverse teaching styles to create a stimulating learning environment.
Selected by the Director of Schools in consultation with the HOS and Key Stage Coordinator.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:
- Teach according to the National Curriculum for England and Wales.
- Set clear learning objectives, assess student progress, and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Create and deliver engaging and interactive lessons plan that align with the school's curriculum guidelines
- Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Assess and record student progress, preparing them for national tests.
- Support school policies and objectives, ensuring students’ safety and conflict resolution.
- Attend parent-teacher conferences and meetings, participating in school events.
- Uphold professional standards, engage in professional development, and contribute to school management.
- Design in-person instruction that is enriched (developing higher-order thinking skills) and personalized learning levels and interests of individual students
- Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of school
- Ensure health and safety measures are followed.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate professionalism and cultural inclusivity.

- Prioritise safeguarding of children.
- Attend assemblies and actively assist in the supervision of pupils
- Promote good attendance and monitor in accordance with the School’s attendance policy.
- Be available for all parent-teacher conferences.
- Attend all relevant meetings, including planning and training meetings.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field with teaching certification.
- Additional certifications and 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- British curriculum teaching experience is a MUST.
