  • Develop and ensure the execution of the Regional strategy to impact Market Share, Device, & Data Revenue, EBITDA margins, CAPEX Returns Management and Net Subscriber Additions.
  • Accountable for ensuring shareholder value management within assigned Super Region in term of OPEX gross margin and general P&L.
  • Assess resource requirements for the Super Region, guide and influence the long term financial view of the region by providing input into the overall business planning.
  • Administratively responsible for all staff in assigned Super Region.
  • Accountable for channel development program execution within region & ensure that the agreed penetration target is achieved as per business plan (EVD, GA, MOMO and other indicators).
  • Accountable for ensuring Sales targets delivery as per the approved business plan on monthly basis in assigned super Region for customers, Airtime, Mobile Money, Data, Devices, other products and business KPIs. Ensure achievement of set targets monthly by MTNB team, DP/Super-Agent network and stakeholders. This includes monitoring & controlling DPs/SA performance, report & eliminate any policy violation, fraud cases & incompliance within assigned Super Region.
  • Develop weekly/monthly reports to track metrics/measures and monitor regional performance to ensure achievement of set targets.
  • Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.
  • Identify, evaluate and track the development needs and performance of staff within the region, providing opportunities for staff to build on the company’s investment in their training and improve productivity.
  • Monitor and optimize efficiencies of store operations, through introducing cost control and profit maximization ent the Customer Service standards throughout the customer journey in-store that maintain productive customer relationships and provide inspiring personalized Customer experience.
  • Identify and implement innovative, disciplined and continuously improve business processes and systems in the super Region.
  • Develop a framework to evaluate need and recommend opportunities for business development and expansion in the region.
  • Review and evaluate regional performance on a continuing basis and provide direction for modification of systems and/or implementation of new systems.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the vision, mission, values, philosophy and culture of the organization.
  • Participate in the establishment of processes/standards and evaluation of systems and technologies to ensure a consistent customer experience across all retail formats in the region.
  • Anticipate and effectively deal with issues that could enhance the region's opportunities or adversely impact business results. Includes proactively identify, evaluate, mitigate and report on compliance, regulatory and reputational risks across the super Region.
  • Accountable for establishing market feedback process and providing constant information to CMDO, GM S&D and other relevant people to take the necessary action.
  •  Identify regional business development and customer base, needs growth opportunities and acting on those.
  • Identify/recommend areas for network coverage expansion including coverage gaps.
  • Responsible of ensuring underutilization of coverage sites remains below %
  • Propose reward commission schemes to cater for different segments and growth drivers.
  • Accountable for initiating and organizing PR events as necessary
  • Define and recommend the required Super Region quantities & distribution plan for promo items, merchandising materials & trade marketing on annual basis,
  • Represent MTN in regional events as necessary
  • Ensure execution of CSR activities annual plan in conjunction with the concerned teams
  • Drive the development and implementation of staff engagement program in coordination with HR team
  • Perform Ad-Hoc duties as assigned by management
  • 3 years University Degree in Sales/ Marketing or any relevant field
  • Possession of an MBA/ Masters will be advantageous
  • Fluent in English and language of country preferable 
  • Minimum 8 years’ work experience including:
  • Manager track record of 5 years or more; with at least 3 years in relevant sector/ industry
  • 3 years’ experience in relevant industry/sector (FMCG/ Telecommunications/ Retail Banking/ service industry context)
  • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise (understanding emerging markets advantageous)
  • Stakeholder Management experience
