Purpose
We are on the lookout for a skilled Pricing Analyst to join our innovative team aiming to make a mark in a
$50B+ industry. This role is pivotal in shaping the demand and delivering competitive product offerings for
Clickatell. Positioned within the Product Organization and reporting to the VP of Interact Product and
Pricing, you will spearhead initiatives to establish competitive and profitable pricing strategies essential for
the growth, adoption, and scalability of our product portfolio.

Responsibilities of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking pricing, ensuring margin stability, follow up on
new product launches and product performance. This role will be responsible of setting pricing analysis,
impact analysis and modelling different adoption and monetization scenarios to cater to Clickatell
business’ revenue targets. This is a highly collaborative and analytical role that requires the consideration
of data from multiple sources, and development of sophisticated and dynamic pricing and performance
models.
• Pricing Strategy Development and Execution:
o Design pricing strategies for Clickatell's product offerings in collaboration with the Pricing
Team, incorporating insights from market trends and competitive analysis.
o Analyse and track customer engagement, utilizing findings to develop effective pricing
strategies that align with company goals.
• Market and Competitive Analysis:
o Conduct thorough research on market trends within Chat Commerce and competitive
pricing architectures, packaging, and price points across key geographies and products.
o Incorporate key market findings into pricing and packaging design, ensuring Clickatell’s
offerings remain competitive and appealing to the target audience.
• Financial and Pricing Analysis:
o Execute detailed pricing and financial analyses to support pricing proposals, ensuring
alignment with Clickatell’s financial objectives and margin stability.
o Use financial and scenario modeling techniques to assess the impact of various pricing
strategies on margins, sales, and unit volumes.
• Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with the Product Management, Finance, Sales, and other key stakeholders to
develop and communicate pricing recommendations and ensure the successful
implementation of pricing strategies.
o Regularly communicate price positioning to a wide range of audiences, including Sales
teams, ensuring pricing documentation accurately reflects current pricing.
• Pricing Frameworks and Tools Development:
o Establish and continuously improve a comprehensive product pricing framework and
policies that guide profitable selling, aligned with company margin expectations.
o Develop and manage dynamic pricing tools and processes that can incorporate large
datasets and inputs from multiple sources, ensuring timely responses to market conditions
and competitive factors.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
o Champion price performance monitoring, owning monthly and weekly margin reporting
activities, including analysis of margin variance and identification of risks and
opportunities.
o Be a part of the quarterly pricing reviews, preparing and presenting recommendations to
product leadership on pricing updates and opportunities to drive revenue and gross
margin.
• Strategic Planning and Support:
o Assist in the preparation of strategic account efforts and pricing plans for the annual
business planning cycle.
o Support the Product Management and Marketing teams in ad-hoc projects, reporting
requests, and the development of business cases to justify the ongoing development of
Clickatell's product portfolio.
• Innovation:
o Participate in Product Leadership forums, analysing opportunities, and developing
relevant artifacts, such as business cases and executive presentation material.
• Knowledge and Capability Building:
o Develop a deep understanding of the markets, customers, and the maturity stage of
Clickatell’s business to strategically plan the rollout of capabilities.
o Be metrics-driven, conducting monthly and quarterly reporting on key products and
services, and consistently analysing behaviour to identify inhibitors and opportunities.

Requirements of the Role
• Educational Background:
o Mandatory BA/BS Honours in Business Economics or Statistics, Mathematics.
o MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred to provide a solid foundation in complex
analytical and strategic thinking.
• Professional Experience:
o A minimum of 10 years of direct experience in product pricing, with a strong preference
for candidates with experience in the Software as a Service (SaaS) or technical software
product sectors.
o Proven track record of developing, implementing, and optimizing pricing strategies that
positively affect product profitability and market competitiveness.
o Experience in conducting comparative analysis of software industry data and translating
insights into actionable pricing strategies.
• Technical and Analytical Skills:
o Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with an ability to synthesize complex data into
actionable insights & expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel is non-negotiable.
o The candidate must possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, demonstrating the ability to
perform complex data analysis, model financial scenarios, and utilize a wide range of
formulas, pivot tables, macros, and data visualization tools. This expertise is crucial for
decoding large datasets, forecasting pricing trends, and developing detailed pricing
strategies that align with our organizational goals. The ability to manipulate and draw
actionable insights from data within Excel will be a pivotal part of the daily responsibilities.
o Skilled in using advanced analytical software such as PowerBI or Microsoft Access; SQL
skills are highly desired to manage and analyze large datasets effectively.
o Proficient in creating compelling presentations with PowerPoint to communicate pricing
strategies and analyses to stakeholders at all levels.
• Communication:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to convey complex
information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
o Strong strategic qualities, capable of setting a vision, strategy, and effectively managing
day-to-day tasks to align with company goals.
o Ability to inspire the all stakeholders regarding the Pricing strategy and future of how we
will pricing for our products.
o Continuously work with the Sales and Finance team to align with financial objectives.
• Personal Traits and Competencies:
o High level of curiosity, creativity, and courage; able to champion the company and
customer priorities with passion.
o Solid negotiating skills to effectively handle difficult discussions with both internal and
external stakeholders.
o Exceptional research skills, with an instinct for sourcing and synthesizing market insights to
inform pricing decisions.
o Exhibits foresight, systematic thinking, and meticulous planning with excellent attention to
detail.
o Ability to function effectively in a rapid-paced, less structured business environment,
adapting to change and managing teams through transitions smoothly.
• Collaboration and Project Management:
o Team-oriented and a self-starter, demonstrating the capability to lead projects end-toend, delegating responsibilities efficiently.
o Should be customer-centric and metrics-driven, with the know-how to analyse market
dynamics and influence peers and leadership on product/market strategy.
o Possesses strong organizational and planning skills, with the dexterity to handle complex
issues and utilize employee potential maximally through effective resource management.
