Energi Talent Resourcing has been retained by a leading indigenous upstream exploration and production company to identify a Senior Production Geologist who will play a critical role in reservoir optimisation, development planning, and production enhancement across producing assets in Nigeria.

This position sits at the center of integrated subsurface decision -making—working alongside reservoir engineers, production teams, wells specialists, and asset leadership to maximise recovery and strengthen long -term field performance.

The Role

As Senior Production Geologist, you will support development and production optimisation activities through advanced geological interpretation, reservoir characterisation, and integrated subsurface collaboration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting field development planning and well placement strategies
  
• Delivering reservoir characterisation and static modelling insights
  
• Integrating seismic, well log, and production datasets
  
• Providing geological support during drilling operations
  
• Identifying reservoir compartmentalisation risks and recovery opportunities
  
• Contributing to reserves optimisation and asset performance improvement
  
• Supporting multidisciplinary subsurface workflows across development assets
  
• Mentoring junior geoscientists and strengthening technical delivery capability

Requirements

Candidate Profile

We are seeking an experienced production geologist with:

• 10–15 years’ upstream experience in production geology
  
• At least 6 years supporting producing assets within an E&P operator environment
  
• Strong reservoir characterisation capability
  
• Experience supporting drilling operations and well delivery
  
• Working knowledge of seismic interpretation and rock physics integration
  
• Strong capability in Petrel, Geoteric, RockDoc or equivalent platforms
  
• Experience working across multidisciplinary subsurface teams
  

A postgraduate qualification in Geoscience or a related discipline is advantageous.
