Senior Technical Assistant Engineer

Technical
Support & Maintenance

·       Assist in the installation,
calibration, and maintenance of smart/prepaid meters and related
equipment.

·       Diagnose and resolve technical
faults in metering systems and power distribution networks.

·       Conduct field inspections and
testing to ensure compliance with technical standards.

Project
Assistance

·       Support engineers in project
execution, including site surveys, system configurations, and documentation.

·       Assist in testing and
validation of new products and solutions.

Documentation
& Reporting

·       Prepare technical reports,
maintenance logs, and troubleshooting guides.

·       Maintain accurate records of
equipment performance and service history.  

Training
& Supervision

·       Provide technical guidance to
junior technicians and field teams.

·       Assist in training clients and
end-users on meter operations and energy management systems.

Compliance
& Safety

·       Ensure all work complies with industry
standards (NEMSA, DISCOs, etc.) and safety regulations.

·       Follow best practices
for electrical safety and risk mitigation.

Requirements

§  Bachelor’s degree/HND
in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.

§  Minimum of 4-5
years in metering, power distribution, or electrical maintenance.

• Proficient
  in meter testing, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  
• Knowledge of energy
  management systems (EMS) and smart grid technologies.
  
• Familiarity
  with SCADA, IoT-based metering, and electrical safety standards.
  
• Strong
  problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  

§  Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

§  Ability to work under pressure and meet
deadlines.
